Experiencing God's Grace

What We Believe

Worship

What to Expect?

In worship at Immanuel, you can expect to hear the love of God in Jesus Christ proclaimed through both liturgy and preaching. Our worship is typically led by the organ, reflecting our rich liturgical tradition. On the last weekend of most months, music is led by our praise and worship team.
We are also blessed with a vibrant music ministry that enriches our worship throughout the year, including student and adult choirs, handbells, and a variety of soloists and ensembles.
Our mission is for Immanuel to be a church where you are experiencing God’s grace, growing in His Word, and serving others in Jesus’ name.

Immanuel

We believe that God created this world and created you uniquely and intentionally. We also believe that this world has been broken by sin and that all of us fall short of God’s perfect design. Most importantly, we believe that God sent Jesus Christ to restore what was lost through sin and to bring us back into a right relationship with Himself.

Lutheran

Our German roots connect us to the Reformation and the work of Martin Luther. While we do not worship Luther or regard all of his writings as authoritative, the core teachings of our faith are summarized in Luther’s Small Catechism. The Small Catechism is part of a larger collection of confessional writings known as the Book of Concord, which faithfully reflects the teachings of Holy Scripture. As a Lutheran church, we subscribe to these confessions as a clear and faithful expression of what we believe.

Missouri Synod

Immanuel Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). As part of the LCMS, we walk together with brothers and sisters in Christ across the United States who share a common confession of faith and practice. To learn more about the LCMS and our doctrinal standards, click here.
