Mr. Brian Young
School Principal

Mr. Young has been Immanuel’s Principal since 1976, having served formerly as a teacher and administrator at Trinity Lutheran School in St. Joseph, Michigan. Following his growing up years in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mr. Young was trained to be a Lutheran school teacher at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. His Masters Degree in Education was awarded by Western Michigan University in 1974. Additional post-graduate studies were completed at Saginaw Valley State University. Brian Young and his wife Bonnie, are the parents of grown and married sons, Eric and Adam, both I.L.S. graduates.
